Cayle and I knew pretty early on that a big first Cayle and I knew pretty early on that a big first birthday party for Wren probably wasn’t going to be in the cards for us. Our house is still in disarray from a leak we had months ago, financially it wasn’t our smartest move and tbh I don’t know if my anxiety would have allowed for anything elaborate (anyone else feel an overwhelming sense of doom leading up to your baby turning one? 😅). Instead, I bought a $20 balloon arch from Amazon that I bled and cussed my way through making (#IYKYK), placed a cake order 2 days before her birthday from a sweet local baker who saved the day, bought a $4 outfit on the clearance rack of Old Navy the day before and we went in together and got her one big gift that my parents chipped in on…and then we spent the entire day celebrating and loving the absolute hell out of our girl. It was so simple, but so special and perfect and so “us”. I know she won’t remember it, but I sure will. Happy, happy birthday my “baby Wren”! 💕

Apparently, I like to keep my big life details on Apparently, I like to keep my big life details on the down low. Like that one time I lived in my Kylie Jenner era and never announced my pregnancy until sweet Wren was here 🤪…and also that time (read: the last couple of years lol) where I have very much still been photographing all the things. Truth be told, I hate (LOATHEEE ENTIRELY) posting, but I’m honestly really proud of my work and feel like it deserves to be shared and I’m proud of how I hustled on wedding days while 9 months pregnant in the middle of July and have continued to hustle six weeks after Wren arrived while also being a full-time SAHM…like REALLY DAMN proud. With that said, I’m going to be digging in the archives and sharing all the things I’ve gotten the honor of capturing while I’ve been MIA.
